Persian Empire Culture

The foods the persians ate was Beef with Fruit, Adas Bil Hamod (Lentils with Lemon Juice), Red Lentil Soup, Yalanchi (Tomatoes Stuffed with Rice), Ma'mounia (Wheat Pudding), Khubaz (Pita with Jelly), Kebabs, Kibbe Batata (Potato-Beef Casserole), and G'shur Purtaghal (Candied Citrus Peels). These are just the few dishes that I got from a site that was about food that they have in Iraq. Iraq was along time ago the middle of the Persian Empire.

The Persian Empire's religion was Zoroastrianism. it is a belief where there is only one god named Ahura Mazdao . It was one man that started this religion. his name is Zoroaster. He said that it was impossible to have more than one god. There devil's name is Ahriman. it is believed that these two were fighting sense the beginning of time. There is also a sacred text in this religion called the Avesta.

the Persians gained there art from other empires. their buildings took for ever to build.this is because every building was made out of compressed rocks or clay. But, when done they are beautiful. some of there buildings have there religion's art carvered on the sides and in side. A lot of the art had animals on it (like the golden cup on the right).

Persian Government

The from of goverment of the persian empire is  monarcy. The first of the kings was Cyrus the Great. He was the first the first of the kings to make Persia a great empire. he never believed in slavery. anyone who worked from the empire gothere fair share. Next was Cambyses who built the first boat bridge. After Cambyses' death came  in  Darius. He than made the the great empire fall because of him. As you can tell the Kings of Persia had all the power but when Darius came in he needed Governors to keep the empire running. In their class system people are able to go up the chain because it is said that Cyrus was raised as a peasant but, still became king. They're law system was the king made laws. But, when Darius came in he gave his Governors some voice to say what laws should be made and not be made.

persian interaction with enviroment

The natrul resoure they depended on was water, without it they would have died. The people of Persia adpated to their enviroment by making a stream from the ground water to make sure to have water. They also built tents around the water and the tents also were very good shelter from the Blazing sun. the persians alway grew foods by rivers that they made. They weren't in the perfect position to grow crops, but, they still got by. They mostly kept their cities around that area, too. If they didn't the water would be scarce and so would food.

persian empire technology

the persians invented many things. One of them was a canal that was put in an angle so that the under ground water would seep through. then they made a bridge made out of boats then they were held in place by ancers then strong string holding togetherthe boats tight. then they put on would planks and dirt. they built two of those. the biggest they built was a road that was mostly compressed rock. and every 18 miles was a rest stop like an Inn. the scientific discovery was the canal that took ground water and brought it up. I talked about this in the top paragraph. also the bridge of boats is a scientfic discoveries. They wrote in Arabic.
